Measuring Space

A balloon filled with helium has been attached to a rolled-out tape measure. As the helium wears off, the tape measure increasingly moves downwards. Measuring Space is a commentary on the arbitrariness of measuring, and, together with A 0°C Globe, is one of Nuyten’s so-called one-day works.
